“what is air duct cleaning services best air duct cleaning near me”

Each day the air in your home is re-circulated through your home’s air duct system. Over time dust, dander, and debris builds up in your HVAC/Air Duct System making your furnace and air conditioner less efficient which can cost you more money to operate.
Briana – Thank you for the feedback. I love to hear back from you guys/gals. Look into using pleated filters and perhaps even having a UV light installed in the duct if you believe that is the source.
1. Remove end caps from rectangular duct work. If you have rectangular duct work, like in the picture below, you can remove the end caps to access the inside of the ducts. You can slide the “drives” down off the duct and pull the cap out of the “slips.” So long as the duct is not butting up against the wall, you should be able to reach your vacuum hose in through the space uncovered by removing the cap, and sweep out any dust you find. You could even use a flashlight to look inside the duct for dirty areas.
Mack says a proper air duct cleaning will help with the biggest causes of respiratory problems. “If you have asthma, your number one enemy is dust mites,” he says. “And for people with allergies, pollen and dander are a big problem. These are microscopic elements you can’t see with the naked eye, and they’re commonly found in air ducts. A good cleaning will remove a lot of them.”
4. Loosen dust in ducts. Knock loose any buildup of dust in the duct work. Simply take the handle of your brush and begin tapping on any accessible duct work you have in the basement. This will help break up any deposits of dampened dust that may have stuck to the insides of the duct.
Your business relies on your ducts and vents. Unfortunately, vents are one of the largest sources of allergens and other irritating particles. Most businesses in Texas use ducting to circulate forced, cooled air. The process also circulates allergy-causing agents. And the problem only increases with time.
With concern growing about molds, allergens and indoor air quality, residential duct cleaning is an emerging industry. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association asserts that removing contaminants from a home’s ventilation system is an important step toward improving indoor air quality. However, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)[1] says knowledge about air duct cleaning is in the early stages, and there is currently no evidence that a small amount of household dust or other particles in air ducts poses any health risks. EPA indicates it might be warranted in some cases but not in all situations.
Once the 10″ hose is connected to the system the huge vacuum fan on the truck begins pulling air from the living spaces down through the duct work. By covering the registers a negative pressure is created within the system so dirt and dust can’t return back into the living spaces.
Avoid Gimmicks: Ads for “$79 whole-house specials” are scams. At most a few ducts will get a very cursory vacuum; and at worst, you’ll end up talked into a much more expensive package. High-quality duct and HVAC cleaning should cost upwards of $500, take several hours with sophisticated equipment, and involve multiple workers.
Our intensive air duct cleaning treatments lift dirt and debris from the nooks and crannies of your system. We’ll clean all of the air handling components in your system and then wash all of your vent covers by hand. We’ll vacuum out all of the undesirables nesting in your air duct system, and then we’ll apply our people-friendly, pet-friendly antimicrobial solution. Our experts will clean all of the vent areas, as well as your filter, and we’ll replace everything when we’re done.
EPA and NADCA agree that if you do hire someone to clean your air ducts, make sure they know what they’re doing — a poor job is worse than no cleaning at all, as it can kick up particles or even break portions of the HVAC system.

I will have to wait and see if the the duct cleaning does make a difference. I would also prefer if the contact person would explain in detail all the possibilities of what extra expenses or extra work might be recommended. I trusted the technicians’ knoledge, but did not know if all that was recommended was truly necessary.
I always recommend Matt at Rainbow. I’ve received multiple compliments from my insured’s letting me know what a great job they have done, and how quickly they were able to get the job done. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a fast, honest, & reliable restoration contractor.
“A good cleaner is going to use a negative air machine and a rotary brush cabling system,” Mack says. “The brush goes through the ducts and knocks the debris loose, and the negative air machine vacuums it away.”
You cannot control where drywall dust goes in a new home. It will stick to walls, cupboards, etc. It is definitely a good idea to have it done on a new home purchase as the builders don’t do it. Then you should be good to go. Be sure to clean all surfaces in the home first.
Just bought a house that’s been vacant for a long time. I got little bugs coming out my vents .Want to get it clean but don’t know nothing . what the proper tools companies should be using since this is a expensive job.

A thorough cleaning can yield long-term energy savings. Bob Baker and Ross Montgomery, who study air quality and energy efficiency for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, say their research shows dirty coils and blowers in commercial buildings can cut efficiency by as much as 40 percent.
2. If air quality is so important and duct cleaniliness is so uncertain, why not adopt doubling filtering; that is, in addition to the existing main furnace filter, add a filter at each air outlet. I understand replacing so many filters would be a burden, but air outlets can be designed for easy filter replacement. The builders and home design engineers should bear responsibility to provide good and low maintenance homes, rather than prioritizing on fancy or costly featuers for homes.

9. Replace furnace filter. Buying a better filter will definitely cut down on the dust in your home. But the better the filter, the more often you should change it; a dirty filter restricts the airflow to the fan, which results in the blower motor running hotter and reducing its lifespan. How often you should change your filter depends on your home, your pets, and your location.

I have filed a claim with the BBB because this company is a scam. They charged me $1,590 and their initial coupon stated whole house for $89.00. I live in a small townhouse. They claimed I had mold, but another company came out the next day, and felt that there was no mold. I never had musty smell in my house nor alot of dust; ever any type of water damage; I should have researched this more before answering in ad in the Penny Saver. Big mistake on my part, and now I’m trying to get reimbursed for at least half of what I spent.
The key to the continued and efficient operation of your heating and cooling system is periodic maintenance. Cleaning the air duct vent system, and servicing you heating and cooling equipment will keep the system operating at its peak performance. Air ducts are cleaned for two reasons. One: to prevent debris from entering furnace and air conditioning components. Two: to prevent debris from cycling through the home. The air duct cleaning contractor needs to employ cleaning methods which successfully removes debris, and ensures that debris does not enter the occupied space. Most contractors can verify the results of the cleaning through video or pictures.

  1. Christine – I think you’re misunderstanding. I’m recommending you cover the supply registers, not the return and only temporarily, not forever. It would take a lot more than a paper towel over the supply registers for a few minutes to burn up a motor. Especially on the supply side. If it were return air, I’d say you’re right but even then, it would take a lot more than a paper towel and few minutes to cause any sort of damage to the motor.
